Two Reviews for The Complete B/X Adventurer

Found two reviews so far for the new book:

Both are short and scant of detail (Tim promises he'll be putting up a more extensive one later), but both are positive which is definitely a good thing (and really, is there such a thing as bad publicity?).

If anyone else has a posted or vlogged a review of The Complete B/X Adventurer (positive or not), please email me a link so I can check it out and note it here. Thanks, folks...I appreciate it!

  5. @JB: I know, I'm a slacker. What can I say? No, I was a fan before the Companion, trust me. I'm still a newb when it comes to Classic D&D, and you're the #1 influence on me with regard to that version of D&D. I never had a truly strong interest in playing Classic until I started reading your blog. You've also convinced me to focus on using actual B/X rather than Labyrinth Lord.

    Again...right on!

    @ Drance:
Ha! Enough of this puffery! I just hope you can make use of these books!

  8. JB, I definitely will make use of them. I tried to run some LL recently and put a lot of work into prepping for a campaign. Then I just lost steam. If you can believe it, I think I lost steam because the LL book just didn't inspire me. Especially when it came to the art. Is that shallow? I guess I want the old school art and the old school presentation, even if said presentation is not as organized as LL. I sound dumb, I think. But whatever. When I return to Basic D&D again, I want to be playing using the original books and original rules. LL is cool and serves a good purpose. But I want my D&D!

Now all we need is a B/X Companion box to put all this in!
