Running Beagle Games Presents: The B/X Companion

Here's the cover folks:

All thanks to God, my wife, ALL my artists, and (of course) the running beagles. Now I just need to put it all together and print it up, get a few copies to the folks that have been promised 'em, and then I'll figure the price (including shipping and handling).

Start saving your pennies, folks.

Great cover, that trio are a cut above low level scappers and thugs - perfect.

Back of the net JB, shot lad!

  4. The question is, is it an audience or a mob?

  6. Great cover, and I really like it's comic/gamey style. I'm excited to see the end product!

  7. I love the resolution to the first two covers' story. Clearly the old wizard needn't have worried. :-)

Looks great. Looking forward to it!

  8. Just an observation from a casual RPG player -- I had to do some Google searching to find out exactly what "B/X D&D" was. Turns out it's two editions represented by box sets written by a few guys who are not Gary Gygax. I know you can't use "D&D" or anything in your product...but I would hazard a guess that "B/X" is a phrase that shows up on more blogs than on game books, hence it probably resonates with your blog readers moreso than with folks who spend money at game stores (and they are not necessarily synonymous).

  11. That cover is going to make me buy this product. I call it "Original Mullen S&W Whitebox Cover Syndrome"

  12. Count me in! I'd buy two if it came in a box with an introductory adventure...

  14. Yes, that is one great-looking cover. I'm certainly jealous of your ability to attract and keep professional-quality artists on your project!

  15. Looks awesome, but since I keep all my gaming stuff on my PC, all I want to know is...Will it be available as a PDF? ;)

  16. Ha! I can't believe I've only just realized: the two on the right are the adventurers from the Basic cover, and the magic user on the left is the guy who's scrying them on the Expert cover!

  17. @ Fred: I would have thought the spear made it fairly obvious.
