Hey, People...It's April...

Which means we're in the sign of Aries, which means it's time to start shit up.

I know there's been some recent "deaths in the family" around the blog-o-sphere. Here's the way I see it: that just a Piscean (as in Pisces) aftermath.

Pisces (the sign) represents a lot of things, but on the Grand Wheel of Life, it indicates a period of rest and introspection...of pretty much everything that's been going on Up Till Now. Pisces is the grand composter of the zodiac: everything breaks down and becomes manure from which new things are going to sprout (c.f. Aries and Spring which follows the sign of Pisces, re-initiating the new cycle of life).

It is not uncommon for people to go into hibernation mode during the month of Pisces, especially to do some intense self-examination. I know I took a bit of a break from the whole blog-thing (note my lack of postings last month...well, it was a serious drop-off for me, anyway). This is often necessary as we are so attuned to the inner examination that we become vulnerable psychic sponges for all sorts of craziness going on in the world around us. In reality, you're backing up for a running start. What it feels like, though, is too much piling up on your head and a need to retreat! Retreat!

So maybe some of our fellow bloggers will come back...when they feel up to it.

Meanwhile, for those ready to start the new cycle, this is the time that inspiration generally strikes...all sorts of ideas popping into folks' heads (depending on the placement of Jupiter in your personal Natal chart, of course). My astrological advice: strike while the iron is hot. If you've got a good idea, put it down on paper (or better yet, start that project while the fire's there). If it peters out around April 23rd or so, no harm done...just enjoy the fun while it lasts.

If it does NOT die, than May will be the workhorse, head down, nose-to-the-grindstone period. You've been warned!

: )

  1. As well as doing various bits and pieces of art for the OSR ;) I'm gearing up to do an extended project purely for myself, purely for fun, and this post has given me more inspiration to just get on and do it. Thanks!
