F is for Flail of Flattening.
This two-handed blunt weapon was adapted from a farmer's tool; it is useable by all classes except magic-users and halflings. Being two-handed, the flail always strikes last in the combat round (except when fighting zombies), and it requires a good deal of space to use effectively, making it difficult to attack in the cramped confines of the "standard" 10' wide corridor. If using variable weapon damage, a flail does 1D8 damage on a successful attack.
A successful blow from the flail of flattening unleashes a noise like a blast of thunder, driving opponents to their knees; an opponent so struck must save versus paralysis or be knocked prone and semi-senseless requiring a round to regain their feet and ability to act. Any individual so flattened by the flail of flattening suffers an additional 1D6 damage, in addition to the damage received from the weapon.
[again, apologies...this is all I have time for at the moment]
Something like this...though the upper section is both longer and "beefier." |
