I was just trying to figure out why I feel so depressed when I start creating cool characters for these RPGs. And I realized that a cool character doesn't usually translate to a cool over-all game experience.

But it's definitely more noticeable from the DM's seat.JBhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08532311924539491087noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4143435314932633148.post-58576674414965555242009-10-21T08:56:39.660-07:002009-10-21T08:56:39.660-07:00Yow! (This is D&D 3.5 at level 8 and they've had one character death.)

I couldn't help myself. I just blabbed it right there at the table: "But this is adventure! It's supposed to be dangerous! The game is called DUNGEONS AND DRAGONS, not WANKING WITH ALEX!!"

So when you write "why should I bother to play a game where everyone is simply dancing around with their own fantasy masturbation exercise?" -- I laughed out loud. Thanks. :)Alex Schroederhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17104864340940538702noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4143435314932633148.post-1139570767719648432009-10-21T01:30:33.066-07:002009-10-21T01:30:33.066-07:00I couldn't agree more! As you imply, that's what makes them fun.rainswepthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06165059567790555748noreply@blogger.com
